I don't understand the hate/distain towards legal gun ownership from non-owners in our country... vilified if we turn the tables on the bad guys invading our personal domain and trying to harm our families... we aren't the ones shooting/harming/robbing innocent people....

How much does it cost to run a prison? Can they make them cost neutral or profitable? Seems like they could get a near endless supply of free labor.... How many hours a day can they make them work? 40hr work week? 60hr work week and reduce the sentence by 33%?

Because they're brought up to fear an inanimate object. Some people associate sound of gunfire to death and you see their body shaking, I saw this multiple times.

There's another thread on this forum on car thefts. If I were an educated immigrant coming to canada, and found that the job situation was such that the only "job" I could get was as a guy on an ebike delivering food, might I resort to crime too?
