I've stopped trying to make sense of what is acceptable to comment on these days. My kids have my wife and I afraid to speak!

It's an economic strategy, and this is not speculation on my part.
It keeps wages low, and the demand for products and housing high
Immigrants need to buy houses, cars, furniture, etc
pre brian mulroney, we used to make stuff. Now we dig stuff out of the ground, and buy stuff made by others

Looks like helicopter funding tied to fighting auto theft. Will be used for general crime where helicopter makes sense. No policy or direction or oversight on usage by ON government.
still think the federal governement needs a plan to stop the problem by root cause. Hence reducing the need for other resources upstream. Stop the method of making money for criminals, invest more there rather than letting theft happen to dispatch a chopper to try and catch the stolen car.

As an aside, does anyone here still remember the uproar when the City of Toronto wanted to purchase a helicopter for police enforcement several years ago? I'm not hearing the same faux outrage over this announcement. How times have changed.
