Huracan and Camaro ZL1 fit no problem !

Thanks, so basically prices have gone up ~$1200 since then for the unit and $100 on install.

Do you recall if they dropped the price a bit post negotiation, or one of those "this is the price" sort of things?

Yeah, that does look tight to get out of though! Roll down the windows and jump in?

Also, I'm curious, any videos showing how long it takes to drop/lift the car?

I didn't negotiate. The price was given and I went for it.

Tight fit, but a 3 car garage is now a 4 car garage! Wife gets the whole double front for her Macan GTS, I can squeeze into either car (6 foot, 240 lbs) But my son can get in and out no problem. I have installed some foam on the wall for the door to 'rest' against.

Takes maybe 20 seconds to come all the way down with a car on it. The weight of car helps. When empty it is slow going down. Going up it takes maybe 1 minute. I have never timed it, just worried more about hitting car into ceiling!!!

I actually really like that setup. Looks like a very efficient use of space!

Here's my lift setup and messy garage!

Just curious, how wide is the space where the lift is?

Okay, finally got a quote on the Bendpak HD9XW. Basically would be $6,915 for the same accessories as the $5995 Direct Lift ProPark8PL, which also comes with a USD$400 gift card or whatever. I'd also need to either wall mount my small-ish compressor or buy one (< $150 looking at Amazon).

Guy selling the Bendpak claims the compressor/pneumatic lock mechanism is "better" for daily use as over time the cables may strain (not exactly what he said, something like that).

Thoughts for a daily driver/use? Would it change a recco from a Bendpak to DirectLift?

Humorously, also had GarageLiving quote on their lifts. They only carry the non-ALI Atlas lifts, and are priced $3-4k higher than what others sell the same lift for (and $2k higher than the Bendpak).

Only "issue" with DL is that the salesman seems to not have liked me asking "is there anything else that can be done on the price", as he just has ignored that email several times. Follows up immediately on any other question, but it's as if I didn't ask about price.

Just as another point of reference, have you contacted Atlas?

Would prefer an ALI certified lift to be honest, and I don't think Atlas carries any as they don't seem to promote the certification?

Just an FYI...ALI certification is done and overseen by the manufacturer's. I had a Direct and have an Atlas now...they are identical. Atlas offers an extra tall lift with the same footprint as the standard 8,000 lb direct lift, so that is why I went with Atlas also. Atlas does not come with casters, so I bought a set separately. Used them once and they are in my shed now

I figured that, but my concern is the lack of certification should something go wrong and I need to make an insurance claim. Been going through my auto and home insurance the last few days and realizing just how sneaky the insurers are as it relates to their policies, what they do and don't cover, etc. It's been eye opening. Don't want to give them another excuse if it does come to the one time I actually need to use the thing I've been paying decades for....

MOHAWK LIFTS are made in AMERICA using forklift-grade steel instead of Chinese.

User error or simply not understanding how the lift functions can lead to an accident.

For example lowering the lift before all FOUR latches have retracted. It’s supposed to happen at the same time if adjusted properly, but a sticky cylinder or low air pressure can have impact.

I have a Bendpak, and I understand that there are better ones out there, but point is be very observant while operating it, no matter where or who makes it.

I don't see any 4-post automotive lifts on their website, only 2 post. Is there a CDN dealer you suggest, assuming they do have 4-post?

Thanks, do you use the Bendpak quite often or more for storage? Just trying to get an understanding of what the difference would be between a pneumatic lock vs the non-pneumatic ones on say a Direct Lift.

Either lift will do the job. My pro park 8 gets lots of use and no issues after almost 10 years.
