I received a quote last week from autoloft. $6700 installed for the 4 post 9000lb model plus tax. Also another $2k to raise the rails for my garage door and side mount door opener. 3 week lead time from time of order. I haven’t decided yet to proceed and looking at other options.
What makes Bendpak glorified Chinese junk over every other residential storage lift made offshore? Mohawk is a different animal. Storage lifts are two post, not runways.
I owned a Revolution Rotary lift for 15 years. Purchased in 2005 when even their residential lifts were made in the US. Great lift and probably the best at the time. I'd still be using it today if the posts didn't rot out at the bottom. I now have a Bendpak. Other than the the need for compressed air vs a manual leaver to release the locks, the only difference I've noticed is the thickness of the metal used in the columns and the runway. Bendpak not as thick as the 2005 Rotary I owned but I'm not at all concerned that it's not up to the job it's designed for.
You answered your own question...even though Bendpak is based in California, they're the same as "every other residential storage lift made offshore" as their lifts are made in China too. Spare parts? Wait 3 months for the next ship to come in...the point was, despite Bendpak being seen everywhere, they are NOT top tier lifts.
Okay, checked my measurements and added in the mezzanine. Guess my question would be, is it better to have the lift closer to the mezzanine or closer to the garage door in terms of access into/out of the garage (walking access)? I can park the lower car a bit further up so that I can walk in between the posts. Just debating position.

Chip on your shoulder much? I'll repeat for a third time, since you seem a little slow here...they are chinese junk just like any other chinese junk lift. Don't be fooled by their popularity, US headquarters, or any of that...their product is still chinese junk.

default the car toward the back. You’re going to want to store stuff in front. I can fit one of my motorcycles in front of one of my lifts with a Tacoma on it. Edit: Geez, that's messy!

Its a tandem garage so space in front isn’t an issue. Just want to make sure I can get behind the car to the other side. That stupid concrete wall is in the worst spot though I assume was needed as a retaining wall as otherwise it’s just annoying!

How wide is that bay where the lift is going? It appears wider than a standard bay given the width of the walls beside the garage door. Also, if you are bolting down the lift, they recommend it b placed 6 inches from a wall to prevent the concrete floor from cracking.

In 2020 I bought a Pro-Park 8 standard form DirectLift (ISN Canada). $ 4750.00 plus 975.00 for delivery and installation, plus tax. They did a great job on setting it up, works great and seems very solid!
