im not sure it’s entirely dealership mantra. The workforce is changing, younger generations from Canada are not quite the same work ethic or ethos. General statement but can be seen cross industry. It’s the person.

this being said the dealership could have accountability to a standard.

I suggest they were likely less motivated BECAUSE you had no trade and didn't want financing.

Similar non P-Car experience while looking for a new DD - cars that have been on Auto Trader for multiple months. Returned calls are hit/miss - requests for service records or basic questions like tire tread depth/date code go unanswered. I must be missing something as all I keep hearing about are growing inventories, rising interest rates and an all round pending doom and gloom.

Congrats! Which one did you pick up? (I've been casually watching the market for a nice T).

This was a tactic that the head salesman used to sell boats at a marine that I did occasional sales for.
He was so nonchalant that people would almost beg him to sell them a boat.
I thought he was a dick and this might be the case here too.

^ I've had this at a pcar dealership. It was like pulling teeth to get a response to buy a car on the lot, even after we agreed to a transaction it was slow going on responses. Same person, emailed them saying I'd like to order X (non special car), no response. I waited days. Ordered elsewhere. They said they were busy, sorry.

Don't get it....wouldn't be my style.

The white on black one from Kitchener Porsche. It replaced my 993 as well. Similar to you.

Nice! I saw that one and thought it looked very good! Enjoy in good health.

My 993 us being picked up on the 13th. It will be weird seeing the lift empty all winter.

Congratulations! The white without decals looks so clean (I might be biased as I previously owned exactly that!). Hope to see you around in the spring!

Just noticed this Racing Yellow 992T pop up this week : Buy used Porsche 911 Carrera T at Porsche Centre Winnipeg
It is optioned almost exactly like the car used in a few Canadian made youtube reviews. FAL and ventilated seats besides the obvious Racing Yellow colour are solid links to the press car.

Hey Tim, the dealer just dropped the price on your old white T by $4,000. $124,900 now…

I owned two very similar 993s at the same time for over a decade. At least these two would have different transmissions.

Here it is now December of 2023 and there are no CPO late model 911 GTS 4 cabs (991.2) available on Autotrader nationwide (I have a 2018 in the garage). And if you want a late model CPO turbo S cab, the pricing is significantly above original sticker price. I saw a 2023 CPO Turbo S cab in Charlottesville, VA, that is/was approx. $25k over original 2023 sticker. This is madness and I suspect that many if not most Turbo S buyers are flipping for a handsome profit. Count me out at these prices. Maybe I'll get lucky and a dealer in my area will get an allocation and I can build one and then wait forever. Is it true that wiring harnesses for some Porsches is/was made in Ukraine?
