>>> I don’t care for yellow, but this 2021 C4 with 11k km for $129k seems like a deal…
https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/...%207R6&sprx=-1 <<<<

Looks to be a stripper car...no PSE, no Sport Chrono, stock 19/20 wheels, no sport seats. Can't tell what other options it might have as no interior shots posted nor VIN provided.

Price went back up to $137K lol...if it can't even sell for $129K what makes them think it will sell for $137K lol...funny how these dealers do their business. Seeing more and more Porsches on the market...I expect the prices to come down some more!!!

Maybe they are banking on the recent announcement from the Bank of Canada suggesting they may hold or lower interest rates and expect people to show up with cash in suitcases shouting, "Shut up and take my money!"

I wonder if it's the 25% lux tax on the amount over $100K that brings it back up to $137K? just a guess.

True to that but don't think rates will come down until March/April 2024 so that 992 can sit for another 3-4 months in the lot.

Just imagine that if they did sell it for $129K and still make a profit...I wonder how they ripped off the seller in trading in/buying that 992 for probably around $110-115K range.

The lesser of two.....

10% of total price or 20% of value above $100k.

There are dealerships in Toronto that specialise in increasing the ask as the car just sits on their lot for months on end. It feels super sketchy. The most common place you see do this is Platinum Cars.

Porsche North Toronto did it on their green GT3. It was down to $299K at one point. I think what they're hoping is that someone will come along and offer $299K and think they got a deal vs the $310K list when in reality, it didn't sell at $299K. If they kept it at $299K then the offer would probably be $289K instead if everyone sees that it's not selling at the $299K ask.

Seeing the same thing happen with housing.

Which they are entitled to do. Sucks for the person who gets caught on the price though.

Would be awesome if there is a developer among us that can create a tool that pings porsche.ca listings and logs each listing for daily price changes.

I guess they figured out that it's costing them $700 a month in interest to have that car in inventory, so they needed to increase the price

Dealership behavior currently is bizarre. Recently purchased a 991T from a dealership. It had been sitting on their lot since June. And it took days for them to get back to me about anything. Each email took two days and a follow up phone call to get a reply. Took 2 weeks to complete the transaction. Wasn't asking for a big discount, no financing, no trade in. Out of province purchase so asked for pictures DME & CPO report and that's about it.

I had guessed they would be motivated. But clearly I was wrong.
