Tons of 911’s for sale!

There could be softening in smaller markets but a single family, detached home in toronto is not going to see any loss in value. I don’t see it. Condos are also selling again. Client launched a condo in Markham recently (not a market I would be interested in) and sold out 500 units in a weekend. The only good thing that dope Trudeau has done is to encourage immigration but of course, that good policy has failed when people arrive here and have lack of support to be able to translate their skills to real jobs.
Car sales will suffer though because many people lease as we know and rates are stupid for a depreciating asset.
This is all my opinion based on close to 25 years in real estate!

I was at PCO this morning and there were tons of 911’s for sale….I’ve never seen that many there before. This beautiful T was there as well. Don’t know if it was sold or not as none of the 4 SA’s that saw me looking at it bothered to speak to me. I was buying parts for my 993 and was dressed in my garage wear…I guess I didn’t look worthy 😅

The lack of assistance at the dealership is something that bothers me. No, I do not want to be worshipped but a simple "Can I help you with something today?" goes a LONG way. Over the past 5-10 years, an arrogance around the Porsche brand seems to have developed at many dealerships. To a lot of long standing enthusiasts, 40 years in my case, these cars are the fulfillment of a life long dream. Kneeling at the alter Ferrari style to be granted the "privilege" to order a new 911 is NOT part of that dream.

I'm not convinced though re: primary residences.

Well I paid 2.5 for my pad 14 years ago worth more than twice as much now, things not good with the wife so thought about a townhome/condo to chill, prices very reasonable right now so not predicting a crash per se, but a softening in the market where properties stay on the market longer and sellers accept lower offers, this is a big change from the last few years.

Interesting developments on the inventory side for sure. On Finder there was an in stock (listed under New) 992 T in BC. That said, I haven’t seen much movement on the price side of things. Good 997.2 still 100K+ and 991.2 still selling well above MSRP. Today brings another rate hike undoubtedly, so seems like anyone looking for a deal will need to continue to watch for the time being.
