I also figured Andrew Davis ought to know his way around Barber but all this video really tells you is how to stay out of trouble and that's it's hard to pass there.

I'd talk to the stalwarts of the PSDS before anyone else. Andrew, Cass, John Lewis, Brian Cunningham, Owen Trinkler, Chris Hall...

That is an amazingly fast track.... do you even have to have brakes ??? i cant see very many spots to pass a near equal car ..........i bet many have to force the issue to get something done.

It was designed for motorcycles, so it's tight, and for racing, yes hard to pass with high speed, narrow turn entries. But its a whole lot of fun. Hoping NASA picks a handling track next year like Barber or Mid-Ohio for nationals.

Pretty much just T5 hairpin but it can be done elsewhere with nerve. Easy for the car in front to make itself wide without even moving over. Qualifying is especially important at this track. But its a good (and challenging) one.

Corey would be good to talk to, too. Corey, not Cory.

Burning Brakes
What do you think about using that same technique in T1/T2 - brake for T1, maintain the higher gear, turn, back on the gas before T2, then downshift as you are braking for T2?
