Possibly because it was the out lap on cold tires and it was an abrupt way to get it to turn? I dunno.
My gosh look at all the places he short shifts to stabilize the car...

I am the wrong person to ask. You should ask whoever built your transmission. I personally would do it if the mechanic said ok. That said, I am coaching today at Road America in a 7 cup and it's no big deal going 6-5-4-3-2 and clutching each time.
