I remember when the GLH-S won National Championships in Solo II like water!

I'm impressed you were able to keep a GLH-S running long enough to win a championship!
I loved mine (had two, a regular GLH Turbo, and a GLH-S clone) but I'd be lying if I said they ran for more than 2-3 months out of a given year. I was fortunate to be living at home at the time, with a dad who traveled a LOT - so I spent easily half the year using HIS car to get around in since mine were always broken. Bad DME's (aka "logic modules"), hall effect sensors, cam seals, rod bearings, transmissions....

Agreed on the lag. It is the worst in a racing simulator. I believe that if you can't make a haptic-feedback event dead-on, leave it out. It will only be a distraction. That's a subject we go into great detail here: http://www.cxcsimulations.com/produc.../how-it-feels/
A properly designed (and tuned) simulator makes a world of difference.
Peter, even I get motion sick in the Cruden!

Haha! Chris, let's connect at the Reunion this year in August. Always out there for at least ten days and only busy when cars are on course!

You could always swing by the home office on your way in/out as well in LA.

Here is what I bought from B&H Photo for a monitor:
ASUS ASVS278QP VS278Q-P 27" LED Monitor; will come in handy for large spreadsheets, too.
$269 shipped.
Considered BenQ but for a 27" monitor with 1 ms response time the cost and availability were not as appealing.
Obutto and G27 are on their way.

24" is fine, but I use a 27" single at home. Here it is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236103
I am happy that I picked that every time I fire the rig up!

Yes, that processor, even though a few years old, is fine. More important is the graphics card. What do you have in there now?

It should run fine, to run the game at high detail you might need a newer video card.
