I am not on the committee for the 48. However, there is no reimbursement from national on the financial end. The event is financially supported by the racers and DE participants. The DE groups are an essential component.

How about that? Not GT3 class cars so far.
Wonder if GT 4 will move up to fill the void?

Am I missing something or are we now unable to sort the list on the new Clubregistration site by class, run group etc. ?

This makes it sound like 5 groups with 2 DE groups. I still don't understand 2 DE groups if enough racers are attending.

That means 70-80 cars/race group. Seems like they want or need 375 cars to make the event worthwhile. That means they have to have 75 +/- cars/group regardless of Race or DE. Group size can't or won't decrease no matter how the groups are formed. Too bad.
Wish someone on the committee would chime in to educate us.

Doug, in the past each view was dynamic and allowed you to sort by column by clicking on heading column (name, car number, vehicle class, etc.). New system does not seem to have that feature. Hopefully it will be added.

Yes, that's really annoying. I hope they add the sort feature soon. I had to go through and count but there are 13 SPBs registered already.

GT-3 Boycott, yes I think so. Not interested in attending based on group placement of the GT-3 cars in the past 3 years or so.

There are already 209 signed up.

We are capped somewhere around 225-235 because of 2 DE run groups.

This is a club race.

Racers are going to be turned away...

A lot of racers I've talked to won't even bother to sign up because of only three run groups.

75-80 cars per run group is too many.

I agree. I think the 2nd DE group was added a few years ago because there was a shortage of racers and a wait list for the DE group. If there are now enough racers for four groups (210 in less then a day) they should eliminate one of the DE groups. There are plenty of opportunities for people to do DE's at Sebring but only one chance a year to race with PCA.
