I have no idea what's up with that nut. might be Dremel time.
Take a small cold chisel, place it into the serrations.... then hit with hammer or Plasma cutter

In PCA stock classes and GTB1 and 2 the Immobilizer will have to stay, Because you have to change the immobilizer chip in the PCM it is considered tampering and any changes to the pcm are off limits.

If you can relocate it you should do so. When it rains, water can get in there and immobilize your car.

I left weather seal on my door windows.... reason made a template from window glass removed and cut out of Lexan windows I can slide in for transit and storage overnight at the track. Works great as I do not have a full car cover... and the windows slide in a minute...

There is a bolt and a pin that holds the lock in, first remove the bolt, then turn the key to the run position, this will let you push the pin in and release the lock assembly. The pin is at the top of the column next to the bolt. After this I use a cutoff wheel to cut the steering wheel locking pin off.

also, I (finally) got the HVAC unit out. one question, what do I do with the coolant lines that went into and out of the heater core? is there a way to bypass those? or do I need to go disassemble the heater core from the HVAC unit and put it back in the car
