Frank, not sure I love that particular blue. Here's one a friend built this year with a different blue that might be of use to you.

EDIT: See below...

One more time...

So, went from a Russet red beater to this. All new plating and parts on motor too. Car looks great with the Mexico Blue and Silver stripes.

A compressor is something you will have forever if you get a good one. I went with a Quincy, as they are a bit quieter than most others.

As for wraps, its not that had on larger surfaces like hoods, bumpers, etc. Its really hard on small surfaces like mirrors in my experience. Most of my SPB is a DIY job with wrap. It is much easier with 2 people btw.

Nice, that blue. Sort of a Petty blue, which the Comats run in 944Cup. I like it but I'm going to decide this weekend; my painter is stopping by to have a look and let me know if I'm wasting my time.
As of now I'm thinking silver with red accents, since most parts already are.

Now we're getting somewhere. But my compressor is toast.

Glad to see you're still at it Frank. Don't be discouraged... the end product will be worth it.

I really love the Mexico and Riviera blues. Only question on that beautiful engine, where's the pin?

Yeah, I had clear bra on my black Carerra and it was great.
But this is going to be silver now, with various highlights and that's it.
A concours vintage car would have been nice, but I always keep in mind that it could wind up in a dump truck very suddenly and that's that....
