I thought about paint and decided to do some body work and try a wrap. If I screw it up, I'm only out $400. I figured it was worth a try.

I was thinking to do that too, but if you read some of the DIY's on this stuff you'll see that it's not nearly so easy as it seems. Good luck with it, though.

I am having an SP1 car built and may have it wrapped in orange with a reflective stripe so it looks like an orange safety cone...

I watched the videos and think the straight stuff won't be too bad. I will have the bumper covers, tail and fenders off the car. It is the tail, A-pillar, rain gutters, quarter panels, sunroof and front bumper cover that have me worried.

Currently it is a mix of black metallic, flat black, flat black with red showing through, some bare metal and cracked body filler. The way I look at it, it can't look any worse than it does now

I actually thought about doing the same thing since I am a moving pylon (chicane). I debated and debated and decided matte black looked like it was under construction. Tis the season to watch the DTM races. I noticed the satin black cars looked cool so....

If that car weren't such a s**box, that would be a great photo.

And you are one of a very select few who know what my intended paint scheme will be. Keep it zipped.

Not so sure about the intended paint scheme anymore, this is turning into a bigger project than I thought....

One of the nicest I've seen.

His Tag name here is Disasterman. It is a fantastic build.
