Problem with Maaco is that you could end up with a very nice job or a total POS, every Maaco is different. If the one Frank is talking about has good references then his paint may not peel off in sheets, bodywork show more waves than the Atlantic, and have overspray everywhere...

I'd be all over that.

This all started when one of my fellow 944 drovers told me that he had a Maaco repaint for $400 last year. He must have been smoking, cuz right after that I blew his doors off.

Frank, below is my $400 paint job from a local independent, but that was 4 years ago. Single stage paint, and I did all the prep. Looked great from 20 feet, but up close there were many flaws. Still, I was happy for $400.

Did you happen to drive up to the MAACO in a Benz wearing gold chains

I'd be delighted with a job like that for $400, but you're not the one I was referring to, Lemming.

Franky III I painted in my driveway, cost me a little over $500 for primer and Pittsburgh one stage acrylic. That did inside and out.

Frank, I realize it's not part of your paint job (and just an artifact of the image compression) but your hood has a really cool digi-camo look in that photo.
