...that was smoke'n lap in the Q2 2012 video. Was probably a sub-30 without the dirt run on turn 1 exit. Barely even looks like he's try'n.

That car is really hooked up and he drives very well indeed. I hope he comes out to Miller next year....

I think he was lucky though that he didn't get airborne out of that rut on the exit of T1. Probably scared the bleep out of the white Beemer....

Does anyone know what tires he was running?

Lindacker's car is toast. Impact on the right rear into the concrete at 70 mph. The broken timing chain was hanging out like it was gut shot. Brutal. A fellow with a Go Pro filmed it from the fence.

Just watched that a few more times and IMNSHO the first white Beemer should have been DQ'd for that move regardless of whether he was inches ahead of the imaginary perpendicular line. He needlessly put 4 drivers in harm's way. They also should have black flagged the second Beemer behind him for his flagrant disrespect and removed him from the track before he hurt someone. It would have saved you some paint repair. BTW out West both Jerry and Ryan will suspend and fine racers if they blow a waving yellow and that was pretty blatant......

Oh and I was wrong about the waving yellow flag before the incident. Your video clearly showed it there. I appologise to NASA and humbly stand corrected.

What I kept hearing regarding wheel spin was you coming off the curbs mainly the last RH turn before the front straight. It was especially significant at he second restart (20:40) when you had to lift to get the power down, and at 23:20 trying to get power down out of a left hander. You lifted on the following R-hander probably expecting to get wheel spin and that cost you. If you've never rebuilt it I strongly recommend you do so. Breakaway pressure isn't the only litmus test for diffs.....

I'd spend the few extra bucks and change ramps to his 50/80 setup. Makes a big difference over the OEM GT3 ramping (40/50?) in a dedicated race car. Example, Im currently running a short gear box that came with a 996 diff with Guard internals but stock ramping (25/45 IIRC). In 3 races I'm loving the short gears, but I'm getting wheel spin off curbs like you and have to accelerate with an egg under my foot. My 50/80 diff could pull me out of trouble under full throttle but not so with the stock ramping. Otherwise all the Guard internals are the same. I will be installing my 50/80 diff in there shortly....

Of course I've learned to first ask Matt what he suggests ....

PS: Get the taller GA uprights for your wing. You get cleaner air and don't need a lot of angle. Well worth a few hundred bucks....

Yup. Very good driving. Love the "make a hole" move with the other Bimmer.

There were about 18 minutes of yellow so very cold tires all around on the restart. He was pretty hooked up earlier. I was left foot braking to get the car to apex, it was just enough.
