I did the same with the hoosiers so I could win contingencies. But, dunlops were faster when I needed them. They were a smaller profile and lighter.

Jr, I do believe covering the winner of a race is fairly traditional lol, but I would have loved to see it from the outside. The coverage was pretty good on me especially considering I was 3rd and there were 40+ other great drivers.
I think that he, like me, was struggling after the long caution period with tires that were too cool. In fact I'm a little embarrased that I waited so long to try and put some some heat in them before the restart. I was left foot braking and lift-throttle steering to hit my marks at the end as I knew it was the only chance, however slim, I had of getting by. When I saw him apexing early in the carousel, I knew squaring it off and straight lining the chicane was my shot.
I do not know what diff is in it but despite testing the breakaway torque, have suspected that its probably past needing to be refreshed. Can you point me to where you might have heard wheelmspin, i want to listen for it. Having diff looked at this winer is on "the list."
Thanks!

Chris,
Nice work! And I loved listening to the whine of the gearbox. Heaven.
However, I think had you pulled the tranny, on your back, in the grass, while dinking beer, that could have given you that extra second to have won overall.
Just an idea...
