Dangers on Track

^^^^ Driver........(new Carrera) BTW, once the track was green, you could not hear the generator. I was parked as close to the front straight and first corner as possible to be at the loudest part of the track. He was also not to pleased with how loud my "race car" was when I started it up.

Bob, you should have smiled & nicely told him to pound sand, while reminding him that golf is truly a sport for those seaking quiet & solace.

if you are not comfortable doing it, don't! its totally optional.
Same with point by's. if you have your hands full, just driving on the track, only focus on that.
I've had some students that I took the rear view mirror and twisted it to the sky so they wouldn't watch their mirrors, then I'd control the point bys, by saying point 1 on the left, or 2 on the right... etc...
since they couldn't focus on their driving with cars on their ***.
-like I said earlier, we all started at the same place... some have progressed farther and can handle more.
-but by the time you are in a solo run group, you should be able to do a lot more than just drive around the track. -that vette looked to be in a fast solo run group.

Here's another video of an ******* driver. Watch at 0:27 when he waves to his girlfriend. What an ***! There's no way she can see that without taking her eyes off her champagne. He must have lost his concentration and should be demoted one run group.
Plus his car is so loud he is ruining everyone's vocabulary study over cappuccinos!!

I have had students waive to passed cars at the expense of their focus.
At the other end of the spectrum, my approach to a checkout ride for a club race recommendation is that the driver should be able to hold a normal conversation while driving at his max. The basis for this is that the mechanical aspects of driving at race pace should be require very little conscious thought. Every bit of that capacity will be taken up with surviving in a race pack initially, and racecraft in the longer term.

That's right. Early students are so heavily loaded that simply having another car in their mirror is a major distraction.
