Default Lemons racer huge ram air intake suggestions

Right now it looks like this, but will get cut shorter to get better airflow
It does directly into the cut open airbox, then to the filter.

I'm toying with the idea of bolt/riveting this racing dryer duct with some chicken wire (as a secondary filter) over the cone.
My only concern is that if it rains, the filter will get drenched and water could get in the motor...
Suggestions?
This is more of a joke than anything functional, but who knows it could help

I get what you are trying to do, but you cant increase pressure by making a big funnel for air. whatever the pressure is at the front of the car, thats the pressure that will be forcing air into the duct. better to actually just take air from the base of the windshield. pressure measured there vs the nose is pretty darn close. also keep in mind that the most you ever could expect, with the most efficient ram scoop out there, would be .08psi at 80mph. less than 1% gain in power. at 160mph, that figure jumps to .35psi , or just over 2%.

And make sure to put some stickers (or hand painted lettering, if necessary) right on the duct that say "RAM AIR"

That thing is atracious. If there are any ME's there who have had fluids, it'll probably give them the DT's. You need to radius it.
