I don't watch NASCAR (except when they're @ WGI) as I'm not a fan but I did see the highlights on ESPN and that WAS one hell of a save by Kyle Busch.

ALMS, Rolex Grand-Am, F1, Continental Tire Series, Indy, German Touring Car, British Touring Car - basically I watch anything EXCEPT Nascar. Yeah, Rolex and Continental are owned by Nascar but so far they have not F-ed them up yet.

It actually bothers me if I say that I am into auto racing and someone automatically assumes I am talking about NASCAR.

I follow F1 more closely than NASCAR, but I do like the fact that with Nascar, you don't know who will win until the checker drops.

I raced at Daytona at the first PCA club race a few years back. There were comments from many drivers that they would give a little more respect to the NASCAR guys after driving on the bumpy banks of Daytona.

I said something similar at the start of the Daytona 24 and was correct twice.

NASCAR jumped the shark a long time ago. It is now the Vince McMahon of Motorsports productions, with declining ratings and attendance.

But they do have Danica this year.
This, and I don't watch NASCAR.

She was running in the pack with the big boys right up to the last lap. Moved from 17 to as high as 8 at one point. Not a bad showing.

I think she drafts really well. the short tracks will give her trouble IMO.

Guess I shouldn't give NASCAR such a bad rap. I ran across this picture of my dad (left) with his best friend and bf's wife. I suppose my mom was the photog. Picture is from Darlington back in the late 50's or early early 60's
