LSD suggestions?
This is a cross post from the mod forum. It was suggested I would get more feedback if I posted the question here.
So, Quaife, Wavetrac or Guard for an LSD on a 996 C4S?

I have a tendency to lean towards a TBD versus an LSD for the AWD 996 cars like the C4 and Turbo, even when using them on the big track. The reason for this is that the AWD cars tend to exhibit more inherent corner entry push than their 2WD counterparts. I know that someone is going to argue with me and tell me that they've got an LSD on their AWD racecar and love it. That's fine, if this was a racecar I wouldnt' debate that point, though the guy arguing with me would most likely have 500 or 600whp and have somewhat of a leg to stand on. He'd also have full race suspension and all other manner of goodies and be someone like Carl Ryquist with track records to back him up.
But back to the point, the corner entry push introduced by the LSD on an AWD DE car just isn't really worth the gains of the lock up under braking, IMO. We sell quite a few TBDs to AWD owners for track day use and they love them because they get more power to the ground and the TBD doesn't really interfere with the handling at all. If you've got fully adjustable coilovers and sway bars and want to play around with retuning your suspension after installation, maybe looking at a clutch type LSD is still worth considering. So, take that FWIW. If it was my personal C4 I'd put a TBD into it.
As for brand, I think I'm a little biased and have to recuse myself from the original question. I suggested this thread get reposted here so that your peers could advise with their opinions and experience since my input on brand is "tainted"...
