Congrats to RBR and Vettel and Webber for an incredible season. I for one am hoping for their continued dominance.

Wayne who?
The name sounds familiar ... much like Raj and Luis de Prat ... just give me a minute.

Rather than admitting the welched on a bet, they simply leave.
Not to worry, NEXT YEAR will be the year that Ferrari finally gives Alonso the team and car necessary to win a WDC.

Vettle, Webber and RBR were exceptional this year and was fun to watch.

But I would love to see 3-4 teams with great cars from the get-go and then the drivers could really fight it out for the championship.

They did say that next years car will be "radical". I hope it is radical enough to make a difference. (Radical can also be terrible, so I'm hoping that isn't the way it ends up.)

Alonso deserves a car as dominant as the RB7, and he deserves a team that doesn't make terrible strategy calls. Ross Brawn, please come back!

2012 saw Alonso win a race and podium 10 times. Massa finished no higher than 5th all year. That tells you the high level of driving Alonso is producing. You may be able to explain away a podium here or there, but not 10.

Ferrari said their 2012 car will be a "radical change" from the F-150 Italia -- They will either be heros or zeros with this approach come March.

Give credit to Vettel and RBR they were clearly head and shoulders above the rest. Mark Webber and Massa are in the same category in my opinion as support drivers who, if #1 within their teams, could not win the WDC regardless of how good the car is. Alonso and Vettel are special. Button impressed beyond his WDC year and Hamilton disappointed. He claims 2012 will be his year, but his head has to match his talent level for that to happen.

Alonso deserves ****

The little bitch got her wishes and landed the #1 seat with the #1 team in the history of F1, leaving Renault and McLaren in her wake.

End of story.

She doesn't like the team, the car, the strategy, the treatment by the FIA and FOM, then take Santander and go find another team that wants you.

Either demonstrate that you're the 'best' or work harder to make yourself and those around you the 'best'.

Yes, a race win that required intervention by the FIA and a rare slow pit stop by Red Bull.
Yes, Ferrari and Alonso were back post Silverstone .... wind tunnel fixed ... Sir A.Wayne's bold prediction of a second half resurgence over the field of Faux Champions... so what happened?

Alonso produced 4th in the WDC driver's standings, down from 2nd the year before. Quite a season, lots of people to blame in the off season.

BTW, the 'best' don't count podiums, they count championships.

BTW, how could McLaren possibly develop a bad car at season end to a car that was on par with the RB7 at the end of season, when forced to field 2 FAUX champions?

How could Horner take the Jaguar team and in 6 years develiver 2 consecutive WDC and WCC? With a 24 year Faux karting driver?

Why did Alonso's prowess as the best development driver in F1 not force the F150 forward past the McLarens?

Simple answer: she isn't was she claims to be and isn't what she used to be. Pete is right, Alonso's best days are in the rear view mirror. If Slim Carlos wants a driver in the #1 seat at Ferrari, Alonso and Santander would be kicked to the curb in a millisecond.

F1 is perhaps the greatest team sport and there is no "' I " in team, something Alonso hasn't quite figured out yet.

I am sick of the Alonso apologists and PR machine.
I am merely the counterpoint ... the necessity to balance the equation.

Always looking for some shred of statistically insignficant results to back up the claim of The One status for DV.
Always faulting the team, the strategy, the wind tunnel, the FIA, the weather, the tires, the cars in front, etc ...
Always trying to justify 'the glass if half full' when it comes to Alonso's results (or lack thereof)
Listen: The glass is neither half empty nor half full ... it is simply twice as big as it needs to be.

Luca got what he bargained and longed for ... deal with it or move on.
I would buy a Ferrari 458 Italia and set it ablaze to make a point ... but I don't have to, they tend to self combust all by themselves.

Thank you.

While I am there picking it up, would you like me to also pick up the Cialis refills for the Alonso fans?
After all, a 4th place finish, 10 podiums, 1 win ... surely someone would want that to last much longer than 4 hours.

You could...but they won't pay you back.
