Default Wild ride at Mid Ohio

Pretty wild race and big time wild ride at the end of the video. Still not sure what happened.

Broken control arm? Looked like what happened to me at WGI. How's the other guy who went shiny side down?

He's OK. I don't believe he had any kind of mechanical. He hit me pretty hard or at least it felt that way. Then it felt like the cars were locked together. Not really sure what the hit was or why.

Looks to me like the same white 944 that hit you into the jump turm hit, also hit you going into the back straight. Look right when the sound happens, and the guy appears. The camera angle makes it tough, but sure seems to me like he hit your RR.

It is the same guy. I was pushing coming out of keyhole and carousel and just couldn't shake him. he was very fast 1.37.9 in qualifing. i think he hit my door with his front tire as there is a donut there.

Not sure what exactly happened but it sounds like when you pulled out to pass the slower car in front of you there was contact before you even were a full car width over. Was he trying to put a pass on you at the same time?

I witnessed this from the hill overlooking Madness. Very scary. The white car rolled 2.5 times and landed on his roof. Mike had all 4 wheels off the ground and landed nose first. He's lucky he didn't go end over end. It was a totally unnecessary and boneheaded move by the white car. He's very lucky he didn't cause any injuries.

T-4 (T-7 w/chicane) at end of long back straight is most difficult on Mid Ohio.

I've seen stills on this, that I hope you don't mind my posting. I assume it's ok since you've put the video up, they're actually more descriptive. Any objection and I'll take them right down, I know I'd like to see them if it were me.....Glad everyone is OK, but I just hate damage of any kind....

I'm ok with the pics. Thanks for posting. Stuff happens in racing and we all have to trust those we race with. This is club racing and we have to give each other a little room. All that said I'm still not sure how it was as big of an initial hit as it was. If you look at my hands before they are straight just after i shift to 5th and then a massive counter steer to the left to stay straight. While I was moving very slightly right but there was still nearly half the track left and it is pretty wide right there.
