Although I don't have any benefit in promoting the product, it seems like something that would greatly benefit clients, and probably coaches as well.
I do miss the engine sounds but it is probably better to have clear dialogue.
Here's the link (of a lousy lap on a wet track, but that's not the point); scroll down to get to the video: http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant...gory_Code=CEI1
Rick - thought it split the audio so you still had engine sounds but also voice comms, that isn't the case?

Hi Gary
Well, to tell you the truth, I have no idea. What the interface does is take the Chatterbox feed and splits it so the driver and passenger still have communication and that communication is also fed to the external mic input.
The SmartyCam allows you to use both the internal microphone and the external mic (which is the Chatterbox feed) but I don't actually know what would happen if you kept both sources turned on. It may be that plugging in the external source disables the internal mic.
Since this interface can be used with other cameras, it might be one answer for SmartyCam, another for say GoPro.
Since I wanted to preserve the clarity of the dialogue, I didn't explore that question. Ken at I/O Port might know.
Hope this helps

I figured I'd put up some other Watkins Glen data. This was my best lap from the days, though off my PB quiet a bit. I can post up any other info people want to see as well.

Is a 2:13.7x in a 180HP 911 worth posting? My buddy beat me and there are two guys faster (in the [small] world the world that I know of) so it may not mean much.

Wish I could, just remembered that my AIM system was screwed during that race, I have no data OR video of most of last year! All because of a messed up USB Data key, can you believe it?

Dave,
You mentioned you answer basic questions, so here may be your most basic yet:
I have been attempting to learn how to drive stick on a 2007 C4S(I am so thankful I have been given the opportunity to use this car) and I'm having trouble with the first gear. I've only had about 2 hours total experience with a manual transmission and this is challenging me the most. What is the correct way to smoothly go from neutral to first? So far I've just been slowly letting off the clutch until I feel the car move forward a little then I give it some gas and balance letting off the clutch more with the gas. I feel like my approach is flawed and I have stalled a few times. Other times when I am successful it feels as if the car is about to stall and I really have to give it gas. I know it is a matter of learning the clutch but what is the correct technique involving letting off the clutch/apply gas?
My shifts in later gears are becoming smoother, so this is the main problem I am having.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's input!

IMO start feeding throttle as soon as you start releasing the clutch pedal...
