Nobody is carrying my water. Scott represents a LOT of people who (a) love ribbing Mark, and/or (b) who are totally sick of his highly unwise & unsafe "advice" covered in 20,000 word mountains of....merde.
But I am sure Mark is a big-boy gladiator & doesn't need you to carry his water bottle.
Relax.

John, why all the anger? Lighten up & have some fun. Sheesh.

I think you also need another option - C) All of the above
And JR is a super nice and polite guy, I don't think he meant it bad or angrily.

He is just sick of scott's negative put down posts as I am. They serve no purpose. at least your posts are funny, occasionally
And you, the advice and essays would be a lot shorter if you understood the relatioship between acceleration and power (along with engine torque) and other basic concepts. As far as my "dangerous" advice goes, try it and see what happens.
And for Scott, the fact that most wings do have the near same L/D characteristics, but not the same Cl. So, a gurney flap produces the same lift but MORE drag at the same overall lift and it should only be used when max lift cant be provided by a given wing at near max angle.
I forgot that these explanations need to be in 5 word sentences or you lose concentration with your house fly like attention span.
Look, all in fun boys, so relax and enjoy the Heckel-Fest!

Yeah it didn't seem that way from the comment but I'm thinking it was a bad day or maybe not meant that way. John really is a super nice guy. If you read thru his comments on RL he is always very helpful and an asset to RL. He is a good, fast racer as well.

Yes, Ive just unplug the abs. I raced it before I knew the ABS would even work a few years ago. ( But when working , it doesnt do much , but a safety net)
Yep, I run the Hoosiers R compound for now, until I find some garbage can R100s.

Dont worry, the facts will continue to flow, and IM sure over the future, you will find data that you cant explain, bend physics and declare yourself right.
I find it entertaining as well, thats why im here. Its is amusing!
I do believe that,
accelerartion= power/(mass x velocity)
you believe:
"I want a big V8 that has a lot of torque to come off a turn vs a high reving low torque engine of the same HP".
I short shift by 300rpm below redline, because the torque is falling like a rock, even though there is more hp available, pre and post shift if I peg it. I believe this because I have data to substaniate it, even on a pure straight where traction is not an issue."
Its this kind of ignorance that keeps me posting!
keep on trucking (and spinning) VR!!

"E. Automatic and semi-automatic transmissions will be allowed
only on a case by case basis if the driver can show cause."
Hmm...I wonder if an acceptable "cause" is I can't afford to convert to an automatic!!!!!! If that doesn't work I'll try "the manuals break too often"...that should be good cause!.. I like to call it "poor mans sequential"
The other bummer is it looks like fuel cells are required!!!!!
