A friend of mine designed and built it. All the electrics save the main harness and DME were kept (944 Cup regulation). The fuse box was replaced too (no pictures yet). You can remove the whole dash in 2 minutes (unplugging 5 electrical connectors and the 3 fasteners that hold the dash in place.

All wiring/connectors are military grade. It uses a Racepak IQ3.

No more electrical gremlins or dead battery at the track.

When I began the build of my car - my tech removed all the electrical components. he then painted the interior and began the reinstallation of the stock panel. I only kept the stuff needed to run the car and the brake lights.

These pics are from 2005 - the interior is the same (little dirtier) and the only modification that was added since then was a manual electical fan switch whitch now sits directly below the ignition key.


If I had real money - I would of went with an after market setup. For what I have into this car - it works rather well.

Thanks Drew. Looks nice and tidy. Bet that thing howls on the track. Like the position of your air filter too. Never seen that before.

For a 26 yr old car, she does rather well, even with the 4 spd auto. The custom CAI was probably one of the best mods I did.

I looked closely at those ISUS multiplex systems before I did my own car, personally I thought the units were too big and heavy, you need several of them and you still don't completely eliminate fuses. Good idea for a street car with a complex electrical system maybe, but MoTec PDMs look a much better option for a race car if you want to go high tech. Can't see the benefit of ISUS over simple fuse and relay panels in a racecar.
