Anyone who was or is a DTM fan from the days where automakers spent serious money supporting touring car racing will enjoy these:

Those were the days.
Today I prefer BTCC to the DTM. Australian V8 super cars are very good too.

Fantastic! Thank you.

I was fascinated by the DTM in the mid '90's.

German Rock 'n Roll is funny. Did he mention John Steinbeck...?

I do like the 164's. I also really like the 190 2.3-16's. Well, I guess that I like them all. Awesome racing.

DTM is really an amazing series just sucks that a lot of the big names dwindled away over the years. MB and Audi doesn't make much for exciting racing variation. With BMW coming back maybe it will encourage others to do the same...maybe Opel can find a way back.

Also, in other news: http://www.dtm.com/newsausgabe.php?id=9798

Yeah, in 1995 my fondness for DTM led me to buying a two year old 190E with a view to suspension mods. What a great car that was!
