Here is the post anouncing the Porsche driver:

If anyone is in the area comon out to watch Monday. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun.
For those of us who own one of each, it's a GREAT thing! Go get 'em, Cory! Who will be driving the Porsche?

The drama at the finish line will be ehnanced by the fact that each car will be racing towards it from opposite directions!

If you lose we will make sure you are banned from life on Rennlist. No pressure.

(Good luck and make sure the 911 isn't mettled with in any way...)

Cory's driving the porsche.

The quetsion will be the Mini. In the southeast I know of at least one seriously fast (trophied at SCCA SoloII Nationals) guy who works for a Mini dealership. If they get him it could be a tough day for Cory who I don't think has as much auto-x seat time as this guy does.

Very cool... I bet they will have GJ Dixon in the Mini, he's my competition in the Robin Hood Rally and local autocrosses for FTD , he ran a Mini and Vette in the 1st RHR event and won both practice events before that.

He should be beatable in Atlanta on similar tires, the 911 runs in a much faster Solo-II class. Do some practice autocrossing. Cory, and kick some butt! Remember slow in, fast out, no power slides.

They will be racing in opposite directions? That's weird.

The cars are supposed to be bone stock, with no special alignment or tires. The Mini is going to be a cooper s that doesn't have the factory sports suspension and should be running on the stock run flat tires which I have heard aren't any good. I am hoping the 911 will have ps2's on it. I am expecting it to have a lot of understeer stock so have to be carefull to drive to the front tire's limits and not over drive the car. They was talk of wetting down the skid pad section of the track. That would be a lot of fun.

Cory, Make sure there isn't a hole in the gas tank! Did they let you check the air pressures?

Maybe they are planning on dumping 6" of snow on the track! That's their only hope...

We won! I was actually a little worried after the last practice. The track was super hot and the tires totally went off. Tried to go easy on them and not slide it around too much for the race We did a best of 3 for lane choice and then one final race for the title I clipped a cone on the first run with the penalty lost by .2 Won the next 2 races and chose the inside lane Won the final by 2.1 seconds on a 1.07 track. A lot of fun. Huge production crew from la. Helicopter camera. Crazy event.

CONGRATS! Way to represent the Marque!

Sorry if this is already known here, but are you a contracted driver with PCNA or Porsche AG ?? Or was this event entirely separate from them ??

Pls post a link when you can!
