According to SCCA SoloII classifications
997 is in Super Stock
Mini Cooper S is in D Stock.
According to their relative PAX numbers .860 and .825 the 997 should be a little over 4% faster.
I've had both Porsches and new Minis in the driveway. Right now Porsche is looking pretty silly in this and Mini is really scoring a huge marketing bump from this.
As for Porsche and Mini they both have cars in Continental challenge ST class.

Why don't they just both drop their pants and see who has the bigger junk? It would get the same publicity if not more for both brands.
