Greetings everyone
new to this board and thinking about some events with either BMW or Porsche clubs
before jumping in I was wandering if the BMW/Porsche drivers act like the typical Ferrari driver, middle age overweight male that buys the latest and gratest, from car to racing suit, but can't turn a decent lap if its life depended on it.
I suspect you guys are "more meat and less smoke" sort of speak, but I thought I ask
Also if someone can point out the differences between BMW and Porsche club racing I would appreciate it

Welcome to Rennlist.
I'm both middle age and overweight but I think I drive OK.
You will get a broad spectrum of opinions here. Just remember that opinions are like a-holes: everyone has one and everyone thinks theirs doesn't stink.

Then again it depends who you are talking about... I bet there are some Ferrari drivers who are very skilled as well.
Besides, being middle age, overweight male, who has more then enough money to throw around, and as a result is ignorant about ability and/or skill is EXACTLY what I am trying to achieve! Perhaps add obnoxious and ear hair to the list.

I like smoked meat.
They race BMW's in BMW Club Racing.
They race Porsche's in Porsche Club Racing.

Hey Jack, welcome......
I would not know about the Ferrari drivers, but this porsche driver is just an average driver that gets beaten in porsche club race by mostly pro. racers......
For BMW, you have to check with VR or Seth or Bryan Watts.....
Good luck to you, any relation to Bruce Lee.......

Maybe it would be helpful to post some info about yourself, do you own a BMW or Porsche?, it sounds like you have some experience at being a fast drover, I thinks VR, Seth and Watts will give you some good advice, I would just keep keep posting...

I just want to learn, but I know that ferrari drivers have nothing to teach
Should I invest in a BMW or a Porsche?
