Also if someone can point out the differences between BMW and Porsche club racing I would appreciate it

I think "gratest" is the (non) operative word....seems like you are here to "grate" on people. Freudian slip perhaps?. Or, maybe you really are as "dumb as the post" you appear to represent?

Blame the spelling on my chinese descent

I come here for advice and I get insulted from a guy with an avatar with someone pissing his brains out?

Is this the best and the brightest BMW/Porsche forum has to offer?

Excuses! Excuses!

And most would think (I think) that your initial approach left something to be desired.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

My post was aimed at getting you to rethink your approach....measure twice, cut once. If you are positive and sincere (even if you are wrong) you will get get along well here.

But..the jury is out!

u didn't come for advice. you came to troll and before asking Q, one should conduct "some" research so you don't appear like an idiot. and just how many ferrari driving friends do you have to entitle you making generalizations that they are fat and middle aged and cannot make a decent lap if their life depended on it?

Oh man ... for a second I thought I was on M3forum

Jack, don't take things too seriously, this is one of the best forum when it comes to P-car and many have great sense of humor. I do recommend more "polite" reply as in all things in life. You never know when you might need a lift from one of us down the road

Take the brand/model out of the equation. Go NASA or SCCA racing. The various clubs offer 90% identical racing experiences, it comes down to whether you want to wed yourself to a brand and compete with others of the same brand. Personally, (and I'm just a spectator at this point) I like to see Porsches duke it out with Corvettes and Evos and Mustangs.

Porsche - http://www.pca.org/Activities/ClubRacing.aspx
BMW - http://www.bmwccaclubracing.com/

BMW racing is VERY strict! They, in their shortsightedness, only allow the engine to be in the front of the car while PCA allows front, middle, AND rear engine cars!

Did you know we have a pitcher for the Rangers on this forum? How cool is that. Also, the founder (and ex-owner) of Rennlist supports an orphanage in Haiti.
Lots of talent and insight on this forum. Also a bit of incite as well.
Stick around and you'll pick up on the personas.

They are the same VR:

both use brakes, tires, gas
cars get wrecked and some finish the race
the only difference is where the engine sits on some of the cars
except when your spinning backwards.
