F1 should tear out all the Tilke designed tracks and then just overlay an exact copy of Circuit Gilles Villenuve, walls and Armco included, at each of the locations.

By far the most entertaining race of the year. Too bad fox broadcasted it. Nascar this and nascar that. And WTF was up with the truck coverage. Do people really watch that? Truck racing? OMG.
I learned long ago to add at least 30min to run time.

Bring back Kimi. I want somebody to root for.

I agree, I don't quite like the fact that everyone in the field has to drive 7/10ths most of the race to save tires. It's like racing on eggshells. I like fast and furious pace and letting the guys go after it. Still hoping for a mandatory 3stop rule or something so the guys can actually drive. Hearing "I was looking after the tires" in every interview is getting more and more annoying every minute.

Great race, great experience! Much better than Indianapolis. Montreal is a fantastic city. Alonso continues in my book to be the best driver in F1. Fought valiantly against the McLarens and the Red Bull with a clearly slower car if we judge by what Massa was doing, what was Massa doing?!?!

A very cool side note. After driving up from NYC, Saturday night we went to one of my favorite restaurants of all time the original Milos, Greek fish restaurant. A few tables away was Ross Brawn with two other couples and Stefano Domenicali was there a few tables away the other way with a group of friends and Ferrari team people.

My friends and i decided that whenever the commentators make a nascar reference we have to take a shot.

I really like CGV as a venue. Great race, well done Evil Empire. Also, well done Fernando - he drove a great race and the Ferrari's lack of downforce and good tire management seemed to work well here. I'm really disappointed in Michael's performance, even though his strategy screwed him, just like Mark Webber's did for him. That said, his car seemed a bit too wide today for its own good.

Valencia next, another Mclaren circuit from what I can tell, but Ferrari claim massive changes are coming...we'll see what they can do. Red Bull need to get their act together. No reliability issues and a competitive race strategy go a long way. Liking this season so far...and oh yeah, Fox sucks.

Great race. Great circuit. Try putting on a show like that at a Tilke track.

Dude, racing is looking after your tires except in short Sprints. That is why DE and time trial laptimes are not relevant to actual race conditions.

Many many congratulations to both McLaren drivers and the team itself. Their strategy worked perfectly. Hammy drove a great race.

I'm dissapointed in a few things:

1) RedBull, this was by far their worse showing this year (as far as outright speed/performance)
2) Alonso's inability to deal with the slower traffic, it cost him two spots
3) Skewmacher (as David Hobbs calls him), he was blocking, hitting cars, was way off pace and just simply looked terrible. No excuse for a guy with his experience. I mean half way through this year and he's not improving like I think, even he thought he would.

On a positive note, Force India is the real deal, they are legit and therefore not surprising when they do well. Vettel was hilarious on the radio, I like his sarcasm, makes it easy to like him even more.

The move of the race goes to Massa, passing Sutil while Sutil was passing a slower car, just briliant. Honorable mention to both Force India drivers for getting around the mobile chicane in the Mercedes GP #3 car (aka Schumy) on the last lap.

Great race, man I miss those old circuits, like this one, Imola, A1ring, Zolder and others.

Fantastic action, too bad the commentators were talking down to us since they were on network. Funny thing though, I remember back in the day when this circuit was first built, Rob Walker commented that it was "very definitely Mickey Mouse", and compared to the other circuits at the time; it was! Now it's considered one of the best, how things change....

-Schu was an embarrasment with all his pathetic blocking tactics, for what, 10th?
-I think Hammy is the most effective passer in the field, been coming through the field all season

I haven't seen it yet but could someone explain why having to change your gearbox at the last minute should be then hit with a 5 place penalty??? wtf?? Not saying Webber would have won or anything but Jayzus that's tough!
