I am thinking of getting Chris Hall for a session at Sebring. I also want to get Seth Thomas too.

Mike, you should consider Ron Zitza. I've done one day with him at Sebring and have another scheduled in August. Yikes, that will be a hot one!

Craig Stanton. Excellent communication skills, builds on each success. Fast and gets it! By the far the best coach I have worked with.

What is the cost of hiring a coach for 1 day and what does that day look like?

I would say that fees range between $500 and $2,500 per day, depending on the coach and their experience and reputation. Plus all expenses. Some coaches (like me) create a detailed agenda for each day, with the client's consent and agreement, based on their goals. Some others just get in the car and wing it.

To those contributing, thank you. If possible, please put the coaches contact information, web site, etc. in the post to make it easier for others to contact should they so desire.

Fred - I heard VR also furnishes a Mr. Chicken lunch if he works at the Glen...

For some.

That's ok. Leave me at the track working with Paolo while you go into town and party at Mr. Chicken.

Terry Earwood - extremely informative AND even more entertaining: if I could drive as fast as he tells jokes, one liners and racing stories, I would in a different league!

That said, I have had great learning experiences with Craig Stanton, Kris Wilson, David Murray, Mikel Miller, Lonnie Pelchik, Doc Bundy, Jack Baldwin, etc..... Guess I have and will be a student the rest of my life!

I think you should take the money that pro instruction costs and increase the compression on your motor - the results will be better (and immediate)

I'll second Terry, Doc and Mr Murry. All three have helped me in various stages

Seth was instrumental in raising my testicular fortitude a few years ago and we got along great which was fantastic. BENCHMARKING is the key for me same track, same equipment. Tell your coach to put down a smoker/no limits. It’s likely you will note a delta of several seconds to your personal best which suggests more coaching is needed not more equipment.
