F duct is pretty much a non factor, so it is mechanical grip, mechanical grip and mechanical grip.
Clearly that puts everyone a step behind Newey.
I would expect McLaren to be # 2 behind RBR.
It will be interesting to see what Mercedes can do with both short and long wheelbase cars.
Dark horse of the race prediction: Force India.

Agreed. Monaco is a mechanically challenging track (given the nature of the racing surface, plus the need for a one of a kind steering rack).
Newey always pushes things to the absolute limit in the name of weight and aero...but you have to believe if they can keep the it together and the brakes under the car (which given the lack of aero, I would expect RBR to run large brake ducts....even if Newey is reflexively against it), then I like RBR.
Of course for sheer crowd factor and carbon fiber futures, it would be Sato Jr ....aka Kobayashi

Ferrari will not run with the F-Duct this weekend.... don't need it.
My pick is Lewis. He needs it badly given that the score with Button is 2-0 and he was in 2nd place last race before his wheel failed.
Look for a **** up from one of the front runners in qualifying setting them to the back without a chance in hell of coming up through the field......... unless it rains

Schumacher critical of Q1 decision , where to Park ?
By Eddy's cream and English Wednesday, May 12th 2010, 16:06 GMT
.
Michael Schumacher has criticised Formula 1's team bosses for failing to implement the drivers' requests to have qualifying at Monaco split into two groups to reduce traffic and making it easier for him to park his car.
The 24 F1 drivers were unanimous in their desire to have Q1 run as two separate 10-minute sessions, rather than the normal one 20-minute, to alleviate the problem of potentially having 24 cars on the 2.25-mile circuit at once.
But the teams could not reach an agreement on the change of format, and Schumacher believes because some want to gamble on traffic playing into their hands.
"Some team bosses felt they would rather have the chaos and maybe take the profit from me being able to park my car , this is very unreasonable, @ 30 Million euros , Mercedes expects me to pull off a good clean qualifying," said Schumacher.
"So that's what it is, that's what we have to deal with, and let's see who has to suffer or not." regardless i'm going to park my car ...
Although Schumacher has raced at Monaco in times when Formula 1 had more than the current 24 cars, the sessions also lasted longer so there was less chance of all the cars being out on track at once.
"In a way the field is probably a bit tighter [now] because in the past it was normal to have five or six seconds difference between the first and the last cars, and staggering backwards there were bigger gaps," he said.
"Now you have more cars in close competition in terms of laptimes, but when you have 24 cars on a track which is 3.6km, it comes down to less than 200 metres between each car if all the cars are on track. That's not much for qualifying, so it's going to be interesting for Q1." it will be very difficult now to block Alonso , Herr Hamilton , this will have to be well timed , German precision , schumacher said .
