Got it... I think you're on to something, watch Ross Brawn mumble something on the radio and then soon enough Nico is on the wall...

Michael Schumacher has criticised Formula 1's team bosses for failing to implement the drivers' requests to have qualifying at Monaco split into two groups to reduce traffic and making it easier for him to park his car.

The 24 F1 drivers were unanimous in their desire to have Q1 run as two separate 10-minute sessions, rather than the normal one 20-minute, to alleviate the problem of potentially having 24 cars on the 2.25-mile circuit at once.

But the teams could not reach an agreement on the change of format, and Schumacher believes because some want to gamble on traffic playing into their hands.

"Some team bosses felt they would rather have the chaos and maybe take the profit from me being able to park my car , this is very unreasonable, @ 30 Million euros , Mercedes expects me to pull off a good clean qualifying," said Schumacher.

"So that's what it is, that's what we have to deal with, and let's see who has to suffer or not." regardless i'm going to park my car ...

Although Schumacher has raced at Monaco in times when Formula 1 had more than the current 24 cars, the sessions also lasted longer so there was less chance of all the cars being out on track at once.

"In a way the field is probably a bit tighter [now] because in the past it was normal to have five or six seconds difference between the first and the last cars, and staggering backwards there were bigger gaps," he said.

"Now you have more cars in close competition in terms of laptimes, but when you have 24 cars on a track which is 3.6km, it comes down to less than 200 metres between each car if all the cars are on track. That's not much for qualifying, so it's going to be interesting for Q1." it will be very difficult now to block Alonso , Herr Hamilton , this will have to be well timed , German precision , schumacher said .

He's obviously never ran at Talladega...

Monaco is a track that rewards a driver's skills regardless of the cars they drive. That said, if you have a good car, you can qualify well and motor away. Red Bull 1, 3, Hamilton 2. Massa and Button no where to be found. Alonso languishing in 4th if he's lucky. Almost forgot, Vettel wins.

Monaco is a track that rewards a good qualifying position, a fast pit crew, and little else.

Oh, and if you want to watch the race live it helps if you have exceedingly deep pockets and arrive in a yacht the size of a WW II battleship.....

Vettel was not happy finishng behind Webber and he'll be out for blood as long as his car holds up.
If not I think FA or Webber could slip in there.

I don't know how well Button and Hamilton are going to do at Monaco. After watching Schumacher defend against Button, it was pretty clear that the Brawn cars accelerate out of the corners much better. Only after a long straight could Button catch up.

Crashing out of contention, in no particular order, maybe even in qualifying: Vettel, Hamilton, Webber, Massa, and a gaggle of backmarkers. Lots of replacement wishbones and front wings on the trucks this weekend.

Jenson Button FTW.

Darkhorse Schumacher... can't deny his experience on this track should give an advantage.

Alonso edges Vettel in first Monaco practice

By Matt Beer Thursday, May 13th 2010, 09:33 GMT

Fernando Alonso narrowly beat Sebastian Vettel and Robert Kubica to the fastest time in opening practice for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Just 0.089 seconds covered the top three at the end of a close-fought session in perfect conditions.

Although the session had started quietly, with no one trying a flying lap until nearly 20 minutes in, the times came down quickly as the field started serious running just after the half hour mark. Felipe Massa and the McLaren pair swapped the top spot several times, before Robert Kubica took a quick turn in front for Renault.

The Pole was only there fleetingly though, as Alonso then produced a 1m15.927s to go quickest with 20 minutes to go.

Vettel looked like he might depose the Ferrari in the final minutes, but missed first place by 0.073s.

1. Alonso Ferrari 1:15.927 31

Default Schumacher critical of Ray's decision not to bet !

By Eddy's cream and English Wednesday, May 12th 2010, 16:06 GMT

.

Michael Schumacher along with the full F1 grid has criticized Rennlister and head amigo Ray for not taking A.Wayne's bet , even after being given an 5 race Handi-cap.

The 24 F1 drivers at Monaco were unanimous in their decision that the amigos were in default , after years of Schumacher nut swinging , non were willing to put their money where their mouth was, but continue to opine about the greatness of the " one" while hammering the undisputed and current F1 master Alonso.

Schumacher believes that as his number one nut swingers they should step up and gamble as this could play into their hands. But the Amigos could not reach an agreement on how much to bet as both ITC and Huntington Beach ladies class auto-xr Tiptronic Pete are known to be tighter than a turtle's waterproof **** , leaving the full load on Ray ...

Although Schumacher has raced in times when Formula 1 had very little talent, unlike today the amigos voiced their full support along with leading elder "double clutch that syncro box Larry" that he would be successful even against current talent.

...... ....... Pete ....... Ray ........ ITC

Indeed... J.J. was stunned when he heard Nico commenting that their (MS & NR) driving styles are the same.
He said their styles never have been the same and that it's obvious when watching so when he heard Nico saying so, he was wondering whether he's been brain washed or what?
(J.J.'s words, not mine).

I wonder where the hell is Keke, he's usually quite "outspoken"...

Oh, and since it's Monaco, guess who's baaaaack?!
