Default F1: I am loving the new format

WOW - these pitstops are crazy fast. Loving the pace of the race and how the cars are improving as they get new tires and burn fuel. Cool stuff.

Pit Stops are cool but talk about a snooze fest on course and so far a snooze fest strategy wise.

Call me a stick in the mud, but I hope this race is not a sign of things to come. The first 15 laps or so must be the slowest I've seen modern day F1 cars go around corners. There were hardly any moves. Some of the on-board footage showed Hamilton trailing the throttle like I've never seen in F1, pussyfooting to conserve tyres with a heavy fuel load, of course. Apart from that the rest of the race was pretty much the usual F1 procession. I'm sorry, but compared to last year's racing, this was a boring race to watch.

+1

I was waiting for Ross Brawn to do something different than others but it didn't happen...

Seemed like he could've done 2 stops (at least with one of the cars) and just haul *** right from the start and pass everyone going slow.

I think that they have to reduce the time that it takes to come into the pits. Increase the pit lane speed and reduce the amount of slow area to get the overall time lost down to 15 seconds or so. Then you will see more action.

Quali laps were in the 1:53.....1:54 range..........watching Speeds re-run as I type and on lap 10 they're doing 2:02 laps.

All the fuel weight burns off the tyres unless the drivers control speed and by the end of the race when the fuels almost gone the tyres are shredded.

.........and whats this 55 yard rule in the pits? so Hamilton passes Rosberg while hes held still by the lollypop...........GMAFB

I'd rather see these guys race hard from start to stop with the best equipment. Forget the tire rule, let them run the best tire for their setup for the race. Forget the full fuel - absurd in my opinion. The cars look awful with the tiny little wing. F1 is boring.

Still the speed reruns or has the 2010 season started without my knowing it?
