Posting on the floor of my living room on the new machine. VERY fast compared to my other computers, jesus. Now I just need to get a chair and the wheel (both back ordered)

I need to get a nice setup, particularly one that will offer the highest frame rate etc... This is what I have put together based on CXC's recommendations in OT:

1) Logitech G27 wheel and pedal set up $299
2) PTR Pedal Modification for the G27 $150
3) Obutto Gaming Frame $479 (shipped) (this is back ordered which really SUCKS!)
4) A decent gaming PC (est. $1000)

For the PC I was thinking something like a cheap ASUS from Best Buy like this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+E...&skuId=1700116. Do I need to change out the video card or add another one for dual GPUs? Would I be better off building something myself (with the understanding that I know how to do that?)

I just want to make sure the PC is good enough if I am going to spend $1000 for the other stuff.
2) PTR Pedal Modification for the G27 $150 <WHAT/WHERE CAN I GET THIS? I'M ASSUMING IT'S A LOAD CELL MOD.

Here are tonights highlights for those who missed out on a great combination. It took some time to adapt to the fixed setup, but it sure produced some nice racing. This is my first try with editing. I'm the white/red car.

Yeah, that was some great racing today. I got a great start, took the lead early and then promptly through it away 3 laps later. I couldn't find my rhythm again after that.

You guys at the sharp end had a hell of a battle there! I'm really sorry I missed that part of the race...

Oh well, looking forward to next week!

That video is seriously impressive! I'll stay out of this until I can keep from hitting others!

I was in the race, but didn't make the video because I had already crashed twice by then

there's some really fast guys in this league...hopefully I'll become a regular and learn some tricks.

There are two groups usually. The slower guys are in another group together further back. There is racing for everyone. Just come try it out, I bet you will be surprised how accessible this group is.

Nah, just like CXC said, there is a pretty big spread of abilities out there every week, and it usually turns into 2 groups - a lead pack of 5-6, a 2nd pack of another 5-6, and then usually a tail pack of 3-4. You'll probably fall into one of those groups and have a good race

I missed this week so I could spend time in the garage getting my motor ready to go back in the car, but made the two weeks prior. Good times, really good racing. I've been at the tail-end of the lead pack... and it's tight, close, and aggressive without being dirty

I keep forgetting about this, need to really try it out one week. Though I do get on once or twice a week for race partipation money but I totally get blown away by everyone that doesn't crash up their car.
