I would not do this mod if I had to do it over and may go back to glass when it is time to replace the Lexan. I think I saved 10 lbs on the S2 by replacing the windshield with Lexan. I have tabs are around the edge. The vibration is not too bad, but I cannot keep the water out.

[QUOTE=FredC;7096935]I'd rather have a tank of Nitrous. Wish they would have had the gas when I was a kid. I'd have a lot more teeth left.
Dentist friend of mine told me he went to his office on a Saturday{office was closed}, and found his partner dead in the examination chair with the Nitrous mask on. Nitrogen narcosis I guess. He went down and forgot to come up.
Winter project
1} Change plugs and coilpacks
2} Change SRF
3} Change all 4 rotors, fronts to Girodiscs
4} Change oil 5W50 Mobil 1
5} Change fuel filter

Build new race car to replace old race car squashed by honda at the end of this season. About half way done. Fix brakes that are not working on new donor chassis, finish gutting, cage, paint, install safety stuff, align, race.

Nitros is so passe'.......like long sideburns......
Boutique dental practices have other means to alleviate patients fears......
Anyway....... for next season......
I am actually going to work on the driver, by reducing its weight and increasing his skills (Rally School and karting league).......
The car will only lose the rugs and she will be ready to roll.......

Hopefully I will get the following done before next season,
1. Install new motor
2. Re gear trans to accommodate new motor (3.8 from 3.4)
3. Install new composite body work
4. Reduce car weight by 75-80 lbs
5. Reduce driver weight by 90 lbs (63 more to go)
Then hopefully kick some butt on the track next season.

Yesterday I spent the day scraping the sound deadening 'tar' off the floor.
Today I cut off all the little tabs and such off the floor, and started tearing apart the wiring harness. Wow, are there a lot of wires that are not even hooked up to anything!
Tomorrow, we out all the wires that are not needed, leaving only the things being used. If I have time, we'll clean off some of the glue from the floor and firewalls....

Where to start...
Trying to finish up the 40 hours or so of work on ths little toy so I can start the debugging process:
and I need to replace the clutch and finish the Spec cage in this little car:
and I should have the porsche back from a full tranny R&R next week so we can start sorting out new seating and other mods to finish up the suspension for the next season.
And it's nearly December already!

Race Car (74 911 Carrera)
1. Replace windshield (It's all sandblasted).
2. Replace parking brake shoes. (It's hell being without a parking brake).
3. Prepare and repaint the front luggage comp. (Spilled brake fluid ate the paint).
4. Repair main seal oil leak. (Been fighting this for years).
5. Replace the clutch.
