Panamera in the rain
I got lucky and got to drive some fun cars late last night, one of which was the new Panamera. It was in the rain and on kinda closed roads, private airport is considered closed and safe right ? I was very impressed with how well the car handled and put the power down, very neutral in the rain and easy to do just what I wanted with it. I was really shocked to feel a car of this size be able to handle that way. I can't wait to be able to put one to it's potential on track.
Don't write this car off until you drive one. The looks then start to really grow on you !

I drove one in pouring rain at Thunderbolt in NJ. I was impressed too. My two complaints were that the throttle was WAY too sensitive and that the idling engine sounds EXACTLY like a Ford Powerstroke diesel, except quieter. Must be the Direct Injection.
I have a suspicion that new cars feel great because they always have brand new tires on them.
Regardless of how it drove, the Panamera is the ugliest car ever built by anyone. Finally somebody has out-uglied the current 5 series BMW!

I want to sit in the back seat of a Turbo while Pat Long drives the Nordschleife!
The shape is functional, the back seats are great, with an amazing view across the cabin.
All the car needs is a little aftermarket touch across the rear....
I'm driving them at Fontana next week....
