Ten things I hate about DE
1) You have to buy a whole tow rig for a dedicated track car in which you can't win.
2) When it rains, you have to put your windows down!
3) On your day off, you still have to get up early and go to class.
4) Your car requires more maintenance and attention than a super model girlfriend.
5) You get terrible gas mileage.
6) It's hard to tell stories about passing Mario Andretti when you're wearing a green wrist band.
7) There's always someone better than you.
8) There's no grid girls!
9) It leads to higher forms of addiction, like racing.
10) The season isn't long enough!

But it is cool to tell Mario stories about going hard at it with one of his old (albeit one of the worst) F1 cars on an open test day, and how I was imagining it was 30 years earlier and I was chasing him down. (He was at his winery over the weekend, and we had a little tour up there.)

Whats "golf"?
Oh you mean that walk in the park in funny clothes where you hit a ball, then try to find it?
Like Mr. Carlin said, "pick the thing up and go home, You're lucky you found it in the first place?"

Really the thing I hate most about DE is not being able to pass any place on the track at any time. In a low hp car I can't pass on the straights.
Plus my signature pic could never happen in DE. Imagine 5 wide in DE in braking zone and then 2 or 3 wide all the way around the corner.

Or when your working on your car in the garage and your neighbor asks how much a set of race tires cost followed by how many miles do you get out of them? The look on their face when you tell them "how many laps" you get out of a set...priceless...

So very good points... I still enjoy DEs tremendously, but to make it interesting we should have DE Championships!!! The champion should be selected per Zone based on how many track miles they complete without passing any cars and the number of points bys they give throughout the season.
Also, for general rules, we should state that participants should only use one set of tire, brake pads and car for the whole season; otherwise the penalty would be 10 places setback in the championship points.
