That's what I should have done.

i bent fikses.
i also do drive on the curbs, including the gators at LS. sometimes i need 3-4" of dirt next to the curb as well. the CCW C14 and C10 were subjected to the same driving but no problem.

That's more of a comparison of 3 piece wheels to 1 piece wheels than a statement about the strength of Fikses (CCW C14 & C10 are one piece, Fikses and CCW Classics are 3 piece). There are alot of advantages to a 1 piece wheel: the rim portion is forged, machined and heat treated. The rim more than likely has a thicker cross section and the wheel should be stiffer and stronger than a 3 piece. Compare that to 3 piece wheels that have rims rolled from aluminum sheet with no heat treat. There are some downsides to 1 piece wheels too: cost is generally higher than a 3 piece, most damage requires replacement of the entire wheel instead of just parts, dimensions can't be changed (offset, width, diameter, bolt pattern), offset and width options are limited to the original suppliers forging envelope so you may not be able to get the sizes you need. There are pros and cons for each, jump off enough curbs and you can break any of them though the 1-piece may last longer.

This whole thing is very sad but it's been a long time coming. I've known about this for months.

If you guys ever need replacement Fikse parts, I can still get them.

Can you give an idea of pricing (PM if you like)? I have two wheels that I need to rebuilt to a new size.... I would need 2- 18x9" and 2-18x2" barrels.

It is my understanding that we might hear something in a couple weeks. My guess is that they will raise from the dead.

Would be an interesting project for a new owner/investor. Definitely was a well known brand for quality and unique wheels, but there have been some bridges burned with customers and dealers, and would require some new brand imaging to help reassure existing and new customers that the company is in good shape.

Anyone have ny more info if they were bought out or not?

I was looking to do business with Matt earlier this year (supplying him with some branded apparel merchandise) but I guess this whole thing fits why they never followed through.
