I ran the nittos (255/40-17's) for practice, qualifying and the enduro at Barber with PBOC. I ran the tires at 34 hot on a 2550lb car and was not impressed at all. Grip was just not there. Will try them again at my next DE and play with pressures but at this point I am not sold on them. The R888's that I ran last year (235/45-15's) felt like they had much more grip.
