It won't.....we are dealing with humans! Fortunately, those egomaniacs are a small minority of the usual attendees. (and I suspect they really don't want anyone critiquing their driving)

The comedy of this entire 19 page thread thread is that it was started about a comment that was in no way a "put down" of DE's.

A single comment about not wasting money on the fastest wearing competition tires for a non competitive event has turned into a 19 page thread of twisted logic where I simply argued that running your already prepped RACE car at a DE isn't really any cheaper than running it at a race. The thread was quickly joined by people driving their STREET cars at a DE saying that I was wrong without bothering to read, much less understand, what I said.

Comedy. Pure comedy.

I guess I'm that guy according to the OP.

Well little wonder. We've had about 80 contributors to the thread and about 275 opinions!

Ummmm, you made a comment on Rennlist and didn't expect it to go way off into left field, get completely OT, come back as another form, get critiqued incecently, be misunderstood, and go on and on like a bad novel?

What were you thinking???

Now we are getting somewhere!

Truth is that no PCA Club Racer will run in a DE because the DEs don't have a 13/13 rule...somebody might screw up one of their silly stickers!

Between this thread here, and this thread on Bimmerforums (Clutch In for Better Braking), it has been an entertaining week in Track Forum Land.

Some guys always have interesting explanations to justify why their misguided technique is better, even though they are slow.
