Yes.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say or prove. Obviously your car is much more powerful than Dave's car, IIRC you mentioned it had over 400whp in another thread. If you're trying to say that if you can do a 2:00 then VR can do a 1:55, then that's an apples to oranges comparison.

low boost due to blowby. 340@wheels. nonetheless , I almost stopped behind two people, lost all momemtum out of 15 onto the straight -start and finish-due to traffic and drove terribly. I just don't think VR running a 1:55 is a stretch. At all.

the IP record is a 1:54.1, thats a car with aero, cams, sticker tires, a very well setup car. You think thats only worth 1 sec on a HP track?

You seem to presume things you don't have a firm grasp on.

I think VR was doing tick inspections.

I have no idea how fast or slow I was this weekend, but I was grinning from ear to ear in my new (to me) miata. Haven't had that much fun on the track in a while. Still learning how to drive without horsepower to hide my mistakes, but I'll get there. It's easy to see why these pinatas are so popular. What a fun little car. I think the RS America is now officially retired from track duty.

Also, kudos again to the entire LSR gang for another fun and safe event. You guys rock!!! And Dave, thanks for riding with me. It was a blast and I learned a lot.

As I said, I seem to have struck a nerve...

It's okay, someone timed me with a stopwatch at TWS at a 1:54 in June.

Congrats, that's your best on the 1.8 configuration, isn't it, Greg?

Thanks LSRPCA for putting on a great event. I had an awesome time and appreciate everyone's help and assistance in making this a great weekend!

I was somewhat pleased that once things warmed up in the afternoon, and after forcefully removing my dead Hoosiers..., I found myself only about 2 seconds slower than my best Oct 25, 26 times. Granted Oct I had NT01s that were perfectly broken in and this time was on brand spanking new NT01s which are not so great and on a colder track.

All and all a great event. Thanks again!

I just bought a set of NT01's. So they suck when brand new, eh?

After years of arguing over random hand timings, usually by someone's 12 year old, we decided that the only times that count for our 944 drovers bench racing sessions are ones regestered in the club race. So we have one shot a year to lay them down. I don't know if Dave can run 1:55, but he can flog it and he has about a million laps there.
