They penalized McDreamy for his second 2 off as he ran wide to let some faster guys by. Next year with grass this shouldn't be an issue or a rule or a penalty. It will make for better events.

How can they black flag McDreamy

A lot of complaints about the width of the track. If you are building a new track why would you not make sure it's wide enough if you plan on running pro races there ?

I think the track needs to be named, "Thunderdust". I'm still cleaning that crap out of my truck...

The management of NJMP has been very fast to address potential safety issues, like the short Armco at pit-in. I imagine that they have adequate funds to address initial track wear quickly as well.

I will be there in a week or so and will see if there is any difference from late August when I was last there on track.

I'll be at the Lightning track tomorrow. NJMP moved us from the scheduled Thunderbolt to Lightning so that they could work on Thunderbolt. I'll see what I can learn tomorrow.

Unlike Summit, I expect the NJMP management will fix it.

I hear from eye witness accounts that the paving is being done right now! T1-2 is done and 5-6-7 is being laid as I type!

Daniel, call me Chris.

No, I'm at a member day tomorrow that was to be on Thunderbolt but has been moved to Lightning. My guess is that NNJR will still be on Thunderbolt this weekend. It's easier to move a member day. Last time I was there we had only a dozen cars or so.

I will be on thunderdust this weekend. But with the rain slated for saturday it shouldn't be too bad. I was all over most of the track on Sunday with the exception of T6 and didn't notice any breaking up of the surface. But frankly was a little surprised that there was not more problems with the new surface and how hard it was used.
