ok I've tried to stay out of this because I'm bias but I must say that I've raced with POC for many years and I consider nearly all of them my friends and I've never felt a predjudice based on what I drove. Most of us are there to have a good time with other friends and I'm honored to be with them. I may not like the decision and I will appeal it but I will accept it if I lose.
For the record, I disagree with your DQ from the rest of the weekend even though I agree with the 13.

"The safety of our POC members is paramount, however, incidents can and do happen. For this reason, it is necessary to institute the 13/13 Rule. The Competition Director, Competition Committee or designee will handle this responsibility. In the interest of the sport and all its participants, action will be taken against those who cause damage. If involved in an incident that causes damage to someone’s car or surrounding property and you are deemed at fault, as determined by the Competition Director, Competition Committee or designee(s), you will be placed on 13/13 Probation. You will be withdrawn from the event in which you are participating. You will not receive any participation or championship points forthe event, you cannot participant in the next POC points event of equal or higher value and the incident will remain on your record for the next thirteen (13) months. (An “event” is defined as any day or days that culminate in a competition.)"
Of note, since the incident occured in Saturday's race, the "next" event would have been Sunday's race so Mark is good to go for our next race at Buttonwillow in 9/20-21....
Also from the 13/13 section in our GCR's:
"d) A “that’s racing” type of incident usually involves overtaking in which it is often difficult to determine if the overtaking driver “had the line” or not. Was the passing flag
given? Should the overtaken driver have seen the other car? Were the drivers racing for position? What were the relative speeds? NOTE: It is ultimately the responsibility of the overtaking driver to be certain that the pass is clean and safe!"

JR, thanks for posting the excerpt from the GCR. Helps explain things.

Promised myself to let this alone but... the highligthed "NOTE" from the GCR's seems to favor Mr Anderson.

So, you get the win?
Based on the rule decription that someone posted earlier, it seems pretty obvious to me. that was a prayer pass, probably 50-50 bet, if i was to guess and was one of the two cars behind. I saw an opening like this in my last race and had a flash back of this video. I got out of it with no contact, but it can all happen so fast, especially at the start, sometimes its luck that determines the outcome.
Great Job Mark.
