Gary - that is everyone's dream. Sadly putting a GT3 engine in the car is extremely difficult. Nothing fits which is why they use the Carrera S engine instead.

He should get a Corvette. Otherwise, there's going to be another Dentist in here posting soon. What could be worse?

Paolo, I'll sell my RSA and trailer for $90k including spares, and then he'll have some gas and tire money left over.

Bob, I bet if you waggle enough green at those boys it can happen! ANYTHING is possible!

I was going to suggest that but I didn't want to insult you.

one suggestion is to arrange for him to attend a de as a spectator where he can ride with different instructors driving different cars at speed (not sample of the track program). he'll also get to see all sorts of cars and talk to people about their experiences. it might help him know what he really wants or what's really better for him.

You could suggest he buy a GT3, then you could offer to lend him you car as a great beginner car to get started in, then out of the generosity of your heart you would be willing to help him keep the GT3 track worthy and properly excerised instead of collecting dust in the garage, until he was ready for it

Most important part for me was/is solid instruction and coaching (on and off the track) from successful (racers) instructors in PCA.
I wasn't aware that instructors had to be successful racers to instruct, but maybe they have to be just for green students.
