Default Tow vechicles pics and info

after reading a post on the toyota i thought i would start a topic about our tow vechicles as i am in the market for an update and would like some opinions as well so post up your recommendations and pics...i have a 2000 chevy Z71 tahoe and tow a 944 turbo with and open trailer.......it does a great job and i would consider another tahoe but i do not like the new body style........
you can just see it in this pic

My best tow vechicle to date was my 99 chevy Z71 pick up

Default F-150

I just bought this F-150 and they took 8,000 off the sticker. it tows fine. My car and trailer is about 4000, lbs. My trailer has the electric brake set up and with the tow package the Prodigy controller just plugged into the wire harness. took me two seconds to set it up. I am a Ford guy, ( a red ford guy).
I did look at the GMC 1500. and did not like the fact they had drum brakes on the rear. I also liked the looks. However the GMC would do better on gas. I am getting around 15 to 16 when not towing.
Good luck.

2006 F350 Superduty Diesel 4x4 with 28' Pace Pursuit and Prodigy controller. No problems towing so far, I just installed a new Pioneer dvd/sirrius/ipod/nav unit, so next run should be fun!

Here is mine. Kind of overkill but I love staying at the track.
My wife drives a 6.0 Excursion and I use that when I don't need the home on wheels at a single day event.

Here is mine. 1998 2500 series 2wd 5spd Diesel with an overdrive for 10spds. I get 14mpg towing my 24' Featherlight. Great truck, and sounds like one.

'02 Excursion 7.3 diesel 4x4 Limited, daily driver and long distance hauler. We love the truck. The wife can get a bit grumpy parking it when shopping, but overall I can't think of another vehicle that would satisfy our requirements for hauling kids, dogs, bikes, while towing ~#7-8k. I've had trailer tire blow-outs which I didn't feel behind the wheel. It is a great towing platform.

Gasser Wins!!

Here's mine. Mom Mobile converted to tow rig on DE weekends. V8 Touareg. Tows well considering the short wheel base. Prodogy Brake controller thanks to a fellow R-Lister. One nice thing about this is the Air Suspension allows you to adjust ride dampening and height up to 10" variance. This allows the vehicle to adjust to toungue weight (as far as ride height is concerned)
(Pic below shows it jacked up a bit to help get the car off)
If I did this alot I'd get a truck like the guys above.
