Default Why aren't there more ladies......

in the DE events or Club Races?

It is always nice to see women drivers at DE events and from what I hear some of them are really good drivers.

Why aren't there more "Danicas"?

Why did you delete it? There are many women involved with DEs - and not everyone is involved with taking a car out onto the track. Many of us do not have the need to speed... we also are aware that there is some danger to this sport --but be nice to see if there were some real opinions out there.

Some regions have started special women only run groups - be nice to hear from them as to how it has worked out.

And if you check the PCA Certified Instructor list -- you'll see there are even women instructors.

A sport for all women - no -- but what sport is?

I don't see anything wrong with that, actually I woudn't mind at all to have a woman instructor for a run or two.....

Totally agree. We have a number of great female instructors as well as women who drive in the advanced run groups. I think it's great, I have a daughter that will hopefully one day join me driving at the track. She's only 7 now, but can call out all the turns at TWS and can correctly tell you what line to take during parade laps. She loves T7, BTW.

I have been trying to talk my wife into trying out a DE or at least an auto cross. She kind of wants to but is unsure. She came over to one of my DE's and noticed there were no girls doing this hobby too.
