Just trying to add a little balance (and rational thought) to the forum.

Did have time to watch the F1 race though. Kimi certainly doesn't seem to have the fire under him like he did last year - too many mistakes from what seems to be a lack of concentration. It will be interesting to see if Alonso can man up a little and turn this victory (which was well deserved) into a real team effort to bring Renault back to the fore-front.

Read that as: no more whining about how he needs to go to a better team in order to get a 3rd championship. Renault seems close enought that he should be committed to that process.

Larry ,

The Renault is still a truck and both BMW and Ferrari need a driver of FA talent to help them along .. BMW is currently ahead of Renault but nor yet at the level of McClaren and Ferrari. Ferrari has 2 no.two drivers and is the best team on the grid they need help .
After Hamilton wins this WDC , he will go from strength to strength, Kimi's value @ Ferrari is now very much devalued and with Massa finishing 2nd this year , it will be interesting to see the energy between them both next year.... .If KR stays.

Ah yes, but "the great one" took a truck and returned it to it's former status as a perenial front runner. Why couldn't Alonso do that at Renault now that he has their full support?

Because KIMI is a 2nd rate driver and does not deserve a top Ferrari seat.. send him to team India and have him rebuild dat , see if he is fasterthan FIsi, it would be better for him , as dominoes and alcohol makes for a better working environment

another one of those worthless RIdoncluous stats

f1-live
Despite crashing out and scoring no points, world champion Kimi Raikkonen equaled a record at Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.

The Finn set the fastest lap of the sport's first night race; his tenth such achievement in the 15 Grand Prix so far in 2008.

"In the opening laps, the car was a bit difficult but then it improved a lot," Raikkonen confirmed.

It equals Michael Schumacher's standing record of ten fastest laps in the 2004 season, an achievement 28-year-old Raikkonen also equalled as a McLaren driver in 2005.

YEP always had one of the fastest car's on the grid........................

Ohhh NO !

Kimi Raikkonen :

OK another season in a top F1` car and KR has won only 2 races , Same As Alonso ..... KR is not deserving of a top ride , not when a driver like FA is available or Vettel , as for other young uns' wanting to move up in the sport , all could very much find a ride, as other drivers move up.

LH will move from strength to strength in 09 and with FA in a competitive car , KR and FM will find it difficult to keep Ferrari along there winning ways. In 08 KR's performance was suckballs poor ..... will Monty and Italy stay with KR or will they or should they send him walking ..
